Kid Essentials – Graco pushcart review

I, like most moms, cannot imagine bringing up my little one without a push-cart. When he was born we purchased this @graco push-chair for him. Initially we used to use an attachment on top of it which was multi-utility (carry cot+infant car seat). We preferred to buy the graco push cart because:

a) It is extremely sturdy. Even if I hang shopping bags+diaper bags at once, it doesn’t lose its balance

b) it comes with a wonderful multi utility attachment that is ideal for infants because it is attached on the top of this chair and the baby is facing whoever is strolling. Also, the attachment can be used as a rocking baby carry cot and a detachable car seat, which is extremely convenient.

c) It is very spacious and has ample room for keeping and hanging multiple bags at once. .

.

Drawbacks-

a) It is not light weight like strollers so you might want to think if you need to use this while travelling.

b) I didn’t find the baby locking system very easy to use. It takes some juggling between the multiple belts provided but I don’t mind it because how safe it keeps the baby.

Highly recommended to anyone who is looking forward to buy a multipurpose and sturdy push cart.

Healthy Weekend Binge

When you have kids and friends with kids, the weekend soirées have to have the perfect balance of healthy and yummy.

This scrumptious raw papaya and carrots salad that I made last night is exceedingly popular amongst each one of family members. While kids love to munch on it because of the tangy flavour, it is also a great accompaniment for the adults’ drinks.

.

A must try + a super healthy alternative to binging on nachos or fried snacks.

Couscous Salad

I don’t always eat salads, but when I do, I make sure they look like a garden with flowers of all colours 😍.

Never have I ever made a wimpy+boring salad. For me to eat a salad, it has to be aesthetically very pleasing and extremely satisfying for my taste buds.

.

.

Loved today’s lunch – super delish, Couscous Salad. Such a feasty looking bowl with just about the right balance of healthy carbs+proteins+vitamins and most importantly, amazingly palatable.

.

.

What’s even more important is that my mini man loved gorging on sucha a colourful bowl of food.

.

.

How I made it – tossed in cooked couscous, cherry tomatoes, english cucumber, red onions, red and yellow bell pepper, avocado, beets and chickpeas. Tossed salt and pepper and garnished with lemon and parsley 👉🏼👉🏼good to go!

Try out this amazingly fulfilling and power packed salad and let me know if you love it.

Take time to stay pretty, mums!

You guys probably figured out by now that my blogging world is not just comprised of promoting and encouraging y’all to buy stuff that gives me a payback/incentive, but things that I genuinely feel are worth buying

.

One thing that took a drastic change post having a baby was how my hands and feet started to look so dull and plaid. I was always fond of pretty manicured hands and feet, but initially after the baby I had too much on my plate to be considering this beauty aspect.

.

One of the reasons for not doing so was the simple lack of time and opportunity to rub off the nail paints and re-apply them every 2 days. Well, that’s genuinely how long any nail paint lasted on my nails before it started taking shape of a sketch of a country map. @kikomilanoindia nail polish fixer really came out as a smart purchase. Just two sprays after applying my nail paint and it stays for good 4-5 days without cracking or peeling.

I totally suggest this, especially to moms out there who lack the time to follow strict beauty regimes.

Run mommy run! but don’t let your make up do that

MAC Studio fix powder plus foundation is an absolute necessity for my skin.

I’m always carrying it around in my bag wherever I go, for touch ups.

My skin depends on this so much because:1) my skin is super oily and this holds my makeup in place. I also use it just over the sunscreen on regular days and it works wonders.

2) Delhi summers are so hot and humid, I definitely need something for the face that is light and keeps my liner and mascara from getting runny.

3) It is a quick solution to ‘be ready in 5’ because it is so hassle free to put on (very important reason for moms to own this🤣)

This is my forever favourite buy from MAC and I totally recommend this.

Give a mom the right shoes

Give a mom the right shoes and.. well not sure about conquering the world but she sure can run behind her toddler comfortably.

Here’s my this week’s most favourite buy. After being a mom, one of the biggest dilemmas I face is how to look nice and stay comfortable at the same time and when I say comfortable, topping my must have list are comfortable pairs of shoes/sandals. These lovely sandals from @charleskeithofficial are so trendy and bling yet super comfortable, totally saved me from bearing the foot ache after tonight’s party.

Little traveller, dreaming to explore

Last week, while I was surfing over the internet to order some books for baby K, I came across this 🗺 world map from @collins_booksellers that I reluctantly added-to-cart on @amazondotin, not quite sure whether it was going to be of use for now or not.

However, this bright and lovely map is working as a charm in his room. It is so interactive in itself, baby K can’t stop pointing over and being amused by how pretty it is. He can now spot his country on it.

Not that I mean to mug up information in his brain but it really is lovely to see how he is so curious seeing so many versatile things he can relate with on his wall.
